Swiss Cheese AI — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Gursagar Singh, trading as Swiss Cheese AI ("SCAI", "we", "us"), operates the Swiss Cheese AI web/mobile application and the Swiss Cheese AI MCP connector (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to all Service surfaces, including the connector exposed to Anthropic Claude and other MCP-compatible clients.
1. Data we collect
Account data. Email address, display name, and a hashed password or Google OAuth identifier when you sign up. Optional profile preferences (theme, default mode, model roster). Conversation data. The prompts you send, files you upload, and the AI responses generated by the three-agent council. Voice input is transcribed via Whisper and stored as text; original audio is not retained. MCP connector data. When Claude or another MCP client calls our server, we log the request method, tool name, prompt text, rounds/mode chosen, and the resulting debate transcript. The connector token is used solely to associate the request with your SCAI account. Billing data. Credit balance and settlement transactions. Credit-card details are handled by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy; SCAI never stores card numbers. Operational logs. IP address, timestamp, user agent, and error traces retained for up to 90 days for abuse prevention and incident response.
2. How we use your data
We use the data above to: (a) run the debate engine on your behalf; (b) maintain your credit balance and generate invoices; (c) synchronise your preferences across devices; (d) deliver login and system notifications; (e) diagnose incidents and prevent abuse. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your conversation content to train our own models. Prompts and outputs are transmitted to the third-party model providers described in section 3 and are handled under each provider's own API terms and privacy policy.
3. Third-party AI providers
To generate answers we forward prompts (and, when relevant, tool arguments) to third-party LLM providers under the API-key contracts we hold with them: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Whisper (via Emergent LLM), and OpenRouter (which itself routes to Meta, DeepSeek, Moonshot, xAI, Qwen, etc.). Each provider processes prompts under its own privacy policy and, per their API terms, generally does not use API traffic to train their models; we cannot control third-party conduct beyond those contractual terms. We do not forward account emails, passwords, or billing data to these providers.
4. Sharing with Anthropic (MCP connector)
When you connect Swiss Cheese AI to Claude via the MCP connector, Anthropic receives whatever the model chooses to send: prompt, tool arguments, and the debate output we return. Neither Anthropic nor SCAI is granted permission to read your other SCAI conversations through this channel — the connector only exposes the seven documented tools (swiss_cheese_debate, get_debate_result, answer_debate_clarification, list_debate_models, scai_visualization, scai_celerity, get_celerity_result).
5. Data retention
Account and conversation data are retained for the life of your account or until you delete them from the Chat History screen. Deleted conversations are moved to a "Recently Deleted" tier for 30 days and then permanently purged. Operational logs are kept for 90 days. Billing records are retained for 7 years to meet Australian tax and audit obligations.
6. Your rights and how to complain
You can view, export and correct your data from Settings, and you can delete your conversations from the Chat History screen (deleted items sit in "Recently Deleted" for 30 days before permanent purge). To request full account closure and erasure of your remaining personal data, email support@swisscheeseai.com. Residents of the EEA, UK, California and Australia have additional statutory rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and the Australian Privacy Act 1988) which we honour on request. Complaints. If you have a privacy complaint, email support@swisscheeseai.com with the subject line "Privacy Complaint" and include your account email, a description of the issue, and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond with the outcome of our investigation. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au, or to your local data-protection authority.
7. Security
All traffic to and from SCAI is transported over TLS 1.2+. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. MCP connector tokens are stored as opaque secrets and can be rotated or revoked at any time from Settings → Integrations. If you believe you have found a security issue, please email support@swisscheeseai.com with the subject line "Security". We aim to acknowledge reports within 24 hours.
8. Children's data
The Service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided data to SCAI, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are announced in-app and in an email to the address on file at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
